Borrowers must have a mid-credit score of 620 or higher for CHFA programs. Good credit history demonstrates your ability to manage debt responsibly and qualifies you for competitive interest rates.
Household income must not exceed CHFA's income limits, which vary by county and household size. Additionally, borrowers must make a minimum financial contribution of at least $1,000 toward the home purchase.
All borrowers must individually complete a CHFA-approved homebuyer education class prior to their mortgage loan closing date. Both in-person and online options are available to fit your schedule.
